Usher in the New Year with hot noodles, zazen, the ringing of 108 bells and a Fire Ceremony at midnight.
The evening begins in the dining room at 9:00 pm with buckwheat udon noodles and hot tea. At 9:30 pm there will be an explanation of the evening’s events and we will write our hindrances for the Fire Ceremony. The first period of zazen begins at 10:00 pm with the ringing of 108 bells until midnight, then we will chant the refuges and go outside for the Fire Ceremony.
