The invitation to become a Pledging Member provides us an opportunity to examine the value of Zen practice in your life, and to practice dana, or generosity. Pledges make up a significant portion of the support that keeps our doors open.
When you feel that you are a member of the sangha you can become a 'pledging member.' This is a committment to a monthly donation which is renewed annually. The size of the donation is not important. It is an expression of gratitude and will naturally be an amount that an individual can responsibly commit to.
Pledging members receive a discount on retreat and sesshin fees, may check books out of the Zen Center library, and may use the Zen Center Ceramics Studio.
All donations are fully tax-deductible. Questions about pledging can be directed to a teacher or to the president of the AZC Board of Directors.

Bequests are a simple and profound way to spread the lasting gift of peace and wisdom into the future.
A planned gift may be the most significant donation a person makes in a lifetime, one that can have a huge impact on Ashland Zen Center.
Numerous large financial gifts from generous individuals made the purchase and remodel of Ashland Zen Center possible, built the residence hall, and the dormitory, and established the grounds and gardens.
We appreciate you including Ashland Zen Center in your financial planning. There are many ways to leave your legacy. You may be able to:
• Name AZC as a beneficiary in your will or trust
• Designate AZC as a full or partial beneficiary of your retirement plan
