One-Day Sittings are for newer students and long-time practitioners alike; an opportunity to develop stability in immersive practice within community. There is no true kindness without strength. One-day Sittings provide ideal conditions for this strength to reveal itself.
The day will include zazen (seated meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), samu (mindful work), rest time, tea and oryoki meals. Oryoki instruction is available for those new to oryoki.
Dokusan will be available; sign up on the dokusan board when you arrive. Dokusan is a private meeting with a teacher to ask practice questions and present understanding.
Registration is $50, or $40 for pledging sangha members. Your contribution is an important portion of the Religious Education funds that sustain our practice. Payment can be mailed, delivered or paid below via PayPal.
The menu will be vegetarian. We adhere to Buddha's teaching of 'no picking and choosing' and we are unable to cater to food preferences. List medical dietary restrictions (e.g. diabetes or pregnancy) on your registration form and the tenzo (head cook) will be sure to keep you nourished.

COVID-19 vaccination is required. Masks are available at the front door for those wishing to wear one.
